Again continued with the story board as well researching shot from other adverts for inspiration

12/01/17

We finished the story boards, script and shot list. It is beginning to come together but feel that we need some more planning.

 13/01/17

We uploaded our pre-production work today to keep it up to date.

17/01/17

We filmed Viv in the science block today which went well.
18/ 01/17

We filmed Tia today and began editing the footage. I felt like we got some good shots and we used the dolly

19/01/17

We continued editing the footage today. We have came to the conclusion that we need some more for Viv.

23/01/17

This morning we went to the town to buy some chemicals and then this afternoon continued filming with Viv.

25/01/17

We corrected the colour in some of the shots which we filmed with Viv. We also tweaked the advert to make it more snappy and flow better .

26/01/17

We have run into multiple complications and draw backs today. We were meant to do some more filming; however, our actress did not bring her gear for the shots and the location was denied to us... The best I could do was update my production diary and organise for tomorrows shoot. For the next project, perhaps I will try and focus on something where we can be more self-sufficient to make it easier for us.

27/01/17

We finished are filming off today, collecting the last few shots we needed to help complete our advert. The shots came out well and I feel that the location change will not be very noticeable for Tia as the shots are all low and focus on the ground.

30/01/17

We added the shots from the last shoot into our video. They worked well mostly but didn't include all of them as they ruined the pace a bit. We tried adding some slow zooms in and out on the shots which were a bit flat just to give them a little something.

01/02/17

We finally completed our advert today. We just had to change the sound levels and shoten the ending shot and: Boom! We are done.

TV news starting sequences from all around the world often contain all of these elements. Firstly we often see rushing graphics or camera movements in the news which often connotes a sense of urgency and importance. We also see transparent objects, such as a globe, or eyes which symbolises an unbiased and unchanged view of the news which they are reporting from a neutral perspective. Another common feature of TV news sequences is a view of the world from space. This connotes that they cover all four corners of the globe when it comes to finding stories, information and important news. This is then further enhanced by images or videos from different, well known landmarks from a multitude of cities around the world. This amplifies the idea of covering news from every region around the world. Clocks are used to give a sense of urgency, importance and that it's fresh in from the field. Photos Connotation Exercise

Purity We used water in this photo to show purity. The reason for this was because water has strong connotations of purity, life and clean living. We placed the bottle on the grass to also help draw forth this idea of purity. Furthermore, the colour green produced by the grass is often associated with being ECO Friendly , recycling and nature; all of these things connote purity. The bottle is placed slightly on the right of the frame to help give the image balance. The camera angle is level with the bottle. This was chosen because we wanted to avoid giving the perception of power from the angle, whereas, by keeping it level, it keeps things humble . Strength This image shows strength through very literal reasons as well as some hidden semantics. The guy in the photo is lifting weights ,which after repetition, commitment and hardwork, you increase as well as define muscle.
